Vaccine PODS Open for Health Care Workers Only
The City launched Vaccine Points-of-Dispensing (PODs) at three L.A. city Recreation and Parks locations where health care workers can receive the COVID-19 vaccine. Locations include: Lincoln Park in East L.A., San Fernando Park in the Northwest Valley, and the Crenshaw Christian Center in South L.A. The next location is set to open at Hansen Dam in Pacoima.
The L.A. County Department of Public Health is partnering with the City to open four additional locations in El Sereno and Van Nuys. Health care workers will be notified of their opportunity to be vaccinated at these sites by DPH, and they will be able to register at the County website.
The COVID-19 vaccine will be free for everyone and will be offered to different groups in phases. It is likely to be available to the general public in Spring/Summer 2021. For more information on vaccine distribution to the public, visit the County DPH website at http://publichealth.lacounty.gov/media/Coronavirus/vaccine/.
