Meal Delivery For Older Adults
The Los Angeles Department of Aging and Office of Mayor Eric Garcetti are engaging additional partners for an emergency food delivery program to assist LA’s most vulnerable seniors. Seniors may receive deliveries of five meals, delivered twice a week. Meals can be frozen and heated up in their microwaveable containers. Meal service will be prioritized for seniors who are experiencing food insecurity, including financial hardship.
The Department of Aging is continuing to deliver packaged and frozen meals for older adults already enrolled in their meal program.
The SBSS (St Barnabas Senior Services) provides the nutrition program for the following local centers:
GPACC (Griffith Park Adult Community Center)
The Braille Institute
Atwater Park Baptist Church
SBSS Hollywood Senior Center
Lithuanian Cultural Center
To contact the SBSS, call 213-388-4444 Ext. 222 or email JTuazon@sbssla.org
